How to download and install Football Manager after I’ve purchased a boxed copy version?

If you have purchased a boxed copy of Football Manager 2022 or earlier iterations, simply follow the instructions that match with your activation key below:

Steam

Once you have your Activation key, do as instructed below to activate and start downloading your game:

1. Download the Steam client: http://store.steampowered.com/about/
2. Install Steam on your computer
3. Once installed, open up Steam
4. Go to +ADD A GAME at the bottom-left of the window
5. Then select Activate a product on Steam
6. Enter your pre-release Activation key
7. Steam should now download your game.

Epic

Once you have your activation key, do as instructed below to activate and start downloading your game:

1. Download the Epic Launcher: https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/download
2. Follow the instructions on the screen to install the Epic Launcher
3. Once installed, open the Epic Games Launcher and create/log in to your Epic Games account
4. Click your name in the bottom left corner.
5. Click ‘Redeem Code’.
6. Enter the Activation key, and then click Redeem. You should receive a message that the Activation key was successfully redeemed.
7. Click Back to Home to return to the launcher home page.

Microsoft Store on PC

Once you have your activation key, do as instructed below to activate and start downloading your game:

1. Press the ‘Start’ button (Windows key), and enter ‘store’ into the search bar.
2. Choose ‘Microsoft Store’ from the results to open the app.
3. Select your account in the top-right corner of the screen, and then select ‘Redeem code or gift cards’.
4. Enter the 25-character Activation key, select ‘Next’, and then follow the prompts.

Xbox app

1. Press the ‘Start’ button (Windows key), and then enter ‘Xbox’ into the search bar.
2. Choose the ‘Xbox’ app from the results to open the app.
3. Select your gamerpic in the top-left corner, and then select ‘Settings’.
4. Select ‘Redeem’ under ‘Redeem a code’.
5. Enter the 25-character Activation key, select Next, and then follow the prompts.

So, you’ve got a boxed copy of Football Manager 2023 and want to get started. We’re now going to take you through the process of getting the game downloaded and installed so you can begin your managerial journey.

Within your box is an insert displaying the website address and your unique Activation code.

• Type the website address into your web browser and go to the site. [redeem.footballmanager.com]
• Once here under ‘Redeem Your Game’, enter the code printed on your insert. Make sure to enter it exactly as displayed.
• Enter the email address you want your activation key to be sent to. Make sure here to enter it correctly so it’s delivered to the right place. Once you’ve done so, click ‘Continue’.
• Following the capatcha/marketing opt-in step, you’ll now reach the ‘Choose Your Platform’ screen. Here you can choose between having an activation key for Steam, Microsoft Store or Epic Games. (If you’re running on an Apple Mac operating system, DO NOT select Microsoft Store as it will not be compatible with your system)
• Highlight the platform you wish to play FM23 on and click ‘Final Step’.
• Once you’ve done so your activation key and instructions on how to activate via that platform will be emailed out to your nominated address. If it doesn’t appear within a few minutes, we’d recommend checking your junk folder just in case it’s been diverted there.

Now you have your full activation key, you can proceed to activate via your chosen platform by following the instructions included within the email.
