Antivirus and Firewall exclusions

Your anti-virus/firewall programs could be stopping your game client/the game from functioning correctly.

A quick and simple test to help rule out your Anti-virus & Firewall software as a possible cause is to temporarily disable them to check whether that resolves your issue.

Further to this, you should ensure that both your game client(including your game) has been added to the exclusion list of your Anti-virus & Firewall programs to help minimise the potential for any issues.

 

For Windows Defender:

Click on the Windows icon in your taskbar and search for "Windows security".

Go to "Virus & threat protection" on the left side and click on "Manage settings" under the "Virus & threat protection settings" option. 

Here, scroll down to "Exclusions" and click on "Add or remove exclusions". 

You can add a specific file, i.e. the executable of your game client and the game, or the installation folder for your game client. 

 

For other antivirus programs, please check the available instructions from your respective antivirus provider.
