To access the private_beta branch on Steam, please follow the steps below. This has been created to allow access to FM27 for those experiencing the crash on Launch.
- Locate Football Manager 27 in the games list and right-click on it and select properties.
- Select 'Game versions & Betas' on the left of the new window.
- Enter the code 'gYN3Rk34n4P72myv'
- Click the Beta Participation dropdown list and select “private_beta”
- The build can now be downloaded and then launched like any other steam game.
Before launching the game, please ensure it includes the Beta in the library. It should look as below:

Yes. Any progress made on these saves would only work with the retail version once it has been updated to the same game version as the Beta track.
How to revert to the retail version?
To revert to the Football Manager 27 retail version, you'll need to do the following:
- In Steam Library, right-click on Football Manager 27 -> Properties -> 'Game Versions & Betas'
- In the Beta Participation dropdown list, select 'None'
- Click the X button to exit the pop-up windows
- Football Manager 27 should automatically update to the retail version
