When contacting our support team about a crash, we usually request the crash dump file so we can identify the exact issue you’re having.
The crash dump file records information about the sudden exit of the Football Manager, which helps us to investigate the cause of the issue as well as provide relevant troubleshooting methods to you.
Crash with Dialog
If a dialog (aka pop-up message) appears when you game crashed, you crash dump file should appear in:
Windows - %localappdata%/../LocalLow/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 26/backtrace
Mac - ~/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 26/backtrace
In Football Manager 26, crash dump files will be removed and uploaded to our Backtrace system when you next launch the game.
Crash to Desktop without Dialog
In rare circumstances where the game crashes to Desktop without a dialog, it will have crash dump files written to:
Windows - %localappdata%/CrashDumps
Mac - Please provide as much details as possible to our support agent
