Football Manager 2023 is Deck Verified
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the stability of Football Manager that runs on Public Beta Operating Systems. Therefore, we strongly suggest you only update your secondary device to a OS Beta, so that you can still run Football Manager optimally.
If you have any technical issues with the FM23 on a Beta OS, we recommend you roll back your OS to the previous version. If you still have issues running Football Manager after rolling back your OS, please get in touch with our support team and we will try our best to help you.
PRODUCT ACTIVATION
So, you’ve got a boxed copy of Football Manager 2023 and want to get started. We’re now going to take you through the process of getting the game downloaded and installed so you can begin your managerial journey.
You can either watch our Redeem Tutorial video or follow the steps below:
- Go to https://redeem.footballmanager.com/ to enter the code printed in your box.
Make sure to enter it exactly as displayed, then enter the email address you want your activation key to be sent to. Please also ensure that your email address is entered correctly so that your activation key it’s delivered to the right place.
Once you’ve done so, click ‘Continue’.
- Following the capatcha/marketing opt-in prompt, you’ll now reach the ‘Choose Your Platform’ screen.
Here you can choose between having an activation key for Steam, Microsoft Store or Epic Games.
Highlight the platform you wish to play FM23 on and click ‘Final Step’.
(macOS users, please DO NOT select Microsoft Store as it will not be compatible with your system).
- Your activation key and instructions on how to activate via your chosen platform will be emailed out to your nominated address.
If it doesn’t appear within a few minutes, please check your junk folder just in case it’s been diverted there.
Once you have your full activation key, you can proceed to activate via your chosen platform by following the instructions included within the email or as instructed by each platform via the following links:

If you have bought the game digitally not directly via Steam, Microsoft or Epic, you should receive an Activation Key directly from your retailer. If you have not received your Activation Key, you will need to contact your retailer directly.
If you don’t have access to an Internet connection, you will not be able to activate and play the game. Likewise, you can only update the game via Epic, Microsoft Store or Steam being connected to the Internet.
EARLY ACCESS BETA MIGRATION
There are differences between how to access the full retail version of FM from the Early Access Beta version, and it largely depends on which platform that you are playing Football Manager on.
If you are playing Football Manager on Steam or Epic Games Store, your game should automatically get updated to the full retail version when it releases, similar to a normal game update. If it didn’t automatically update, we suggest you restart Steam or Epic Launcher.
If you are playing Football Manager Early Access Beta via Microsoft Store, you will need to download and install the full retail version separately when it is fully released.
Once you have installed the full retail version and checked you can access your save file, you are free to uninstall the Early Access Beta version.
Rest assured that your save games won’t be deleted when you uninstall the Early Access Beta version.
For all platforms, you can continue playing the same save game from the Early Access Beta version on the full retail version of FM. All saves will be located in the same place ready for you to load and carry on with your FM career.
